Climate Action Newcastle (CAN), Lake Macquarie Climate Action (LMCA) and Rising Tide will demonstrate outside the office of Greg Combet, federal member for Charlton and Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change, 324 Main Road, Cardiff, from 8.30 am Friday 27th March, following a footpath march down from Cardiff Station from about 8.15 am (newcastle train arrives 8.12am)

members of NUSA enviro collective and the public will also demonstrate at Newcastle federal MP Sharon Grierson from 10am.

which I don’t need, thanks.

In WA, the new Coalition for a Safe Climate has formed directly as a result of the Climate Summit. We will be organising an action outside Gary Gray’s office on Fri 27 March as part of this national campaign.

What is FoE or any other mob doing to counteract everpresent lobbying by heavy industry on government for all manner of ‘assistance’ under the CPRS>>>???

Seems free permits are well out the door already…. once the White Paper comes out… v. little chance of changing policy.

No matter how high/low the target is, if heavy polluters are ’shielded’ from the emissions price – little chance of structural adjustment being effective in bringing forward renewables….
